Veterans Day is November 11th 2012. Every year there is a ceremony in Arlington National Cemetery. The ceremony commences at 11:00 a.m. with a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns and continues inside the Memorial Amphitheater. The ceremony is intended to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces. This is one event you should try to attend once in your lifetime. It is also a great way for your kids to learn a lot about this country. While visiting this once in a lifetime event you can also visit the Lincoln Memorial, the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial, and go to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum or the DAR Museum. There is much more to see and a lot of other activities always taking place.
